Let us introduce ourselves and explain why Hunter’s Bowl was created. My name is Ashley, and my dog’s name is Hunter.

In 2011, I completed a high school co-op placement with a dog daycare, boarding, and training business. I was hired as staff, completed a dog training apprenticeship, and continued to gain knowledge and experience related to canine behaviour during the following ten years.

In 2015, the focus of my career slowly changed from behaviour to nutrition when I brought Hunter home as a puppy. Hunter is my Great Dane mix. After two years of feeding different brands of ultra-processed pet food, as well as numerous veterinary visits for health concerns, a pet store that focuses on natural nutrition was recommended. I started feeding fresh food, and Hunter began to thrive. The more I learned, the more I wanted to teach others about the health benefits of fresh food.

I've been working at the pet store since 2019, consulting with pet owners about diet and lifestyle. I've achieved multiple certifications relating to canine nutrition, and I continue to further my education. I created Hunter's Bowl to share information with owners who want their dogs to live healthy long lives.
